What to watch for
- Glycerin Low risk
A sweet-tasting liquid that keeps soft treats moist. EFSA considers it of low safety concern; it adds calories without nutrients. - Caramel colour Low risk
A brown color made by heating sugars, used to make food look 'meaty'. EFSA judged it acceptable at normal intakes, but it does nothing for your dog. - Smoke flavor Low risk
A smoky taste for treats, used in small amounts.
What it does well
- High protein 79.3%
30% or more on a dry-matter basis.
