What to watch for
- Vegetable oil Low risk
An unnamed plant oil. Fine as energy, but the label does not say which plant it came from. - Coconut oil Low risk
A highly saturated plant fat. It adds calories, and its health claims for dogs are not well supported; large amounts can upset the gut. - Low protein 27.3%
Below 30% on a dry-matter basis (cat).
What it does well
- Taurine added
Cats need taurine in their diet; this label lists it.
